Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project

The Port of Long Beach,and  Caltrans  announced Friday, May 4th that the joint venture team headed by Shimmick Construction was the apparent “best value’ proposer for the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project design build contract.  Construction is expected to last 5 years and  generate, on average, 4,000 jobs per year !
