In 2021 SABP Print Solutions engaged in a strategic alliance with Irvine-based embee companies and began offering a much wider variety of services and expanding our offerings. Our new services include 3D Scanning for Construction & Architecture, Autodesk licensing and other similar software titles, Electrical Contracting Services, Security Systems-alarm, security cameras and door access, and Low voltage contracting for data centers, network cabling, Fiber & WiFi installations.
SABP has been employing families through 12 wars, 11 economic recessions and has seen 15 presidents elected to office. We have not only survived many economic downturns and the Covid-19 pandemic but 2022 promises to be the most profitable year in the history of the company!
This is our story.
SABP Print Solutions, originally known as Santa Ana Blue Print, was established in 1946 in downtown Santa Ana, California.
SABP is the oldest and one of the few remaining privately owned and operated WBE & DBE Certified Reprographics Companies in Orange County. Leonard Howes bought the business in 1973 and with the help of his two sons Mark and Paul, they ran a very successful blue print company. Leonard began the ongoing process of archiving all the Orange County Official Record Maps, the oldest dating back to 1841. His oldest son Mark took over the day to day operations of the business in the early 80’s and inherited the company when Leonard passed away. Mark relocated SABP in 1995 to Sky Park Circle in Irvine. The company was incorporated in 1999 under the name SABP Inc.
After an arduous battle with cancer, Mark passed away in 2001 at the age of 45. SABP is committed to helping find a cure for cancer and contributes each year to the American Cancer Society.
After Mark’s death, his wife Colleen Howes made the decision to step in and continue running the business. It was very challenging as Colleen knew nothing about the Reprographics industry, but she did have experience as a paint and wallpaper contractor. In less than 6 years Colleen took a “Mom & Pop” operation to a leader in the industry, establishing very active accounts with the Public Works Department of many cities, and water districts in Orange County.
After the 2008 economic downturn in the building industry, the decision was made to diversify., SABP Inc. opened a Litigation Support Division. SABP gained the trust and confidence of many top Law firms in Orange County to effectively supply all of their legal copying, scanning, and E-Discovery needs. SABP successfully supported one of the longest federal trials in Orange County history.
After the opening of the new division, the company needed to expand, and in September of 2009, SABP moved to a larger and upgraded facility located near the Chamber of Commerce in Irvine.
In 2018 SABP Print Solutions began offering a much wider variety of services and expanding our offerings to include Direct Mail/Fulfillment, Lithographic, Flexographic, Screen and Grand Format Printing. Along with Creative Design Services and Product Packaging.
