AERIE Luxury Ocean View Homes Nearing Completion

After almost 6 years since breaking ground, Tony Valentine Construction is nearing completion of the Aerie project. The 51,124 square foot project consists of 7 luxury homes perched on a bluff above Newport Harbor with breathtaking views of the Harbor, Laguna Beach, Palos Verdes and Catalina Island. Aerie is situated on the corner of Ocean Blvd and Carnation Avenue in the community of Corona del Mar, CA.  The project, designed by renowned Architect Brion Jeannette, features beautiful organic shapes of concrete, glass, rock & steel.  The project also consists of a beach and boat docks for the residents along with stunning natural rock formations and intimate bay.

When the owner Richard Julian and his wife first spotted the property and its views 15 years ago, they knew they wanted to live there. Their original vision for the beautiful location was much larger than what has been approved by the coastal commission for the site today. The site was formally a light pink 14 unit apartment complex that was built in the 60’s and was definitely ready for demolition!

The homes at AERIE average 4,500 square feet with the largest just under 6,500 and the smallest just over 3,000 sf. plus an additional 1,000 square feet (approximately) per unit of wine cellar and general storage.  Common areas include large banquet facilities with kitchen, spa, gym, bar area and restrooms with showers. There are over-sized garages (Attached or elevator accessed), guest parking, a Beach Club facility and large expansive private sun decks of 60’ to over 100’ for each residence.

The open floor plans and over sized windows  highlight the unparalleled views. The homes also include the latest in technology and state of the art finishes, cabinetry, fixtures and appliances. The seven homes will share a pool, spa, large fitness center, and “Sand Dollar Lounge.” The lounge will include a bar and a commercial-style catering kitchen for parties. A private staircase will lead the residents to their secluded beach cove and private yacht marina.

Each of the seven units has the option of purchasing a state of the art private boat dock. The sizes range from a 100 foot yacht to a 20 foot tender berth. There is also a guest dock for visitors. The docks will have ample power and water and are located just inside the mouth of Newport Harbor. This location provides residents and their guests the ability to access the Pacific Ocean in minutes.
