Costa Mesa Sanitary District Release a NIB – Indus Sewer Main Replacement

Location: Costa Mesa Sanitary District office at 290 Paularino Avenue, Costa Mesa, California, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud in the Board Conference Room
Pre-bid meeting: A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.. The meeting will be held at the Districts Engineering office at 234 East 17th St. Costa Mesa, CA.
Contract Time: 45 working days.
Scope of work: The work to be performed under this Contract shall consists of removing existing 10-inch sewer and construction of new 10-inch PVC SDR26 Sewer in accordance with the project specifications. Steel casing will be constructed in accordance with CMSD Standard S-111 and City of Newport Beach STD-410-L. The project also consists of intercepting existing lateral and construction of Private 6-inch PVC SDR 26 and connection as shown on the project plans. Upon potholing and evaluation existing 10-inch VCP Sewer Main, the District will decide if Reach 2 will be added to the project. The sewer comprises gravity sections and will be installed using either the trenchless or cut-and-cover methods as shown in Figure No. 2, Pipe Profile and Subsurface Section.
