Corona Del Mar Library & Fire Station Ground Breaking

Ground Breaking for the CDM Library & Fire Station Scheduled

The existing Corona Del Mar Fire Station No. 5 and the Corona Del Mar Branch Library went into service separately approximately sixty years ago. Both of these buildings have exceeded their intended service life and will be replaced with a single building on the existing side by side locations.

The City contracted with WLC Architects (WLC) on March 24, 2015 for design and construction document preparation for the new Corona Del Mar Library and Fire Station.

A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for: Tuesday April 24th at 2:00 pm  at 410 Marigold Avenue in Corona del Mar, CA.

The Fire Station Crew/Operations relocation to the City parking lot at the northwest corner of 5th Avenue and Marguerite Avenue (across the street from the OASIS Community Center) is complete and the start of substantial construction will begin in early 2018, for a 12-14 months construction period.

The project was bid during December of 2017 and January 2018. On February 8, 2018, the City received a low bid of $6,724,186 from TELACU Construction Management Inc. SABP Print Solutions printed all the plans and specs for this project.
