The Ranch at Laguna Beach – Grand Reopening Soon

By September 28, 2015Interesting OC News

Nestled in the majestic Aliso and Wood Canyons in the heart of Laguna Beach is The Ranch. Formerly known as Ben Browns this golf course has been a local icon for the last 50 years. The hidden treasure is being re-envisioned and renovated to reopen as the premier boutique Southern California coastal ranch resort that will perfectly reflect the rich history of these storied canyons and the artistry that is Laguna Beach.

The Gary Roger Baird designed 9-hole course is situated in what’s arguably the most serene and natural setting in Orange County. The course is carved into the naturally dramatic and lush walls of Aliso and Wood Canyons, creating an ultra-private playing experience with stunning views and elevation changes on every fairway. If you are on the course early in the morning or nearing sunset you will often come across the local Mule Deer happily grazing away!

Speedy greens and a commitment to proper tee box and hole placement keep the game fast, fun and inviting. An off-the-beaten-path location with not a house in sight means a quiet playing experience that offers a rare chance to connect fully in nature. This is not your stuffy country club experience. This is a laid-back golf experience that includes barefoot 3 club tournaments for novices, families and avid golfers alike.

The restaurant has outdoor seating and serves delicious breakfast and lunch and of course the best Bloody Mary’s in town. The newly remodeled dining room and bar will be complete soon and ready to enjoy year round.
