The Aerie Project
Construction of the new luxury condominium complex, called the Aerie Project, located on the corner of Ocean Boulevard and Carnation Avenue in Corona del Mar is set to begin after Labor Day. The Aerie Project will feature 7 luxury homes overlooking the Newport Harbor and Pacific Ocean. The complex will feature 360-degree views, a private beach, boat docks, a shared “Sand Dollar Lounge” with a teppan grill, wok and pizza oven, a pool, private health club, elevators, wine cellars and green construction. There will be over-sized garages (attached or elevator accessed), guest parking, a Beach Club facility and large expansive private sun decks of 60’ to over 100’ for each residence. They are designing for LEED Silver certification. The project team consists of the developer, Advanced Real Estate Services, the architect, Brion Jennette Architecture, and the general contractor, Tony Valentine Construction.
Since construction has not yet begun, the Aerie Project is allowing the Newport Beach Fire Department to practice fire training in the soon to be demolished building.
The project will be 51,124 square feet and involve excavation of 9,810 cubic yards of coastal bluff. Three of the units are available but properties are not yet being marketed so no sale price is available, but the units currently are valued at an average of $3,000 per square foot. The project is expected to take 30 months to complete. ]]>
