City of Placentia releases Notice of Inviting Sealed Bids for Sewer Maintenance Services.
Bids are due: Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. City of Placentia – Office of the City Clerk – 401 E. Chapman Ave., Placentia, CA 92870
Bids will be opened shortly thereafter by the Public Works Department in the Administrative Conference Room.

Scope of Work: Service Provider will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidents necessary for the cleaning of approximately 396,000 +/- feet of sewer lines and manholes described herein. The Service Provider shall be responsible for the removal of debris and accumulated encrustations from the pipelines and shall take all the necessary steps to ensure that no spills of any water occur. Pipeline debris is described as, but not limited to, sludge, dirt, sand, rocks, grease, roots, calcium deposits, and other solid or semisolid materials. Contractor shall also provide on-call emergency response services as well. Payment for this work shall be included in the unit bid pricing provided by the Service Provider and no additional compensation will be allowed.
Sewer lines are VCP, DIP, and PVC and range in sizes from 6 to 24 inches in diameter. Lengths shown are approximate. Payment will be for actual footage cleaned, based on the unit bid pricing provided.Work crews shall be on site from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
