CIP 311405 Jeffrey Road Rehabilitation from Walnut to Trabuco Road
DATE OF OPENING BIDS: Bids will be received at the City of Irvine until 10:00:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
LOCATION OF THE WORK: The work to be performed hereunder is located in the City of
Irvine, County of Orange, on Jeffrey Road from Walnut Avenue to Trabuco Road.
THE ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE: $1,375,000.
MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on
Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. at City of Irvine Operations Support Facility,
6427 Oak Canyon, Building 1, Irvine, California 92618, in the Lunch Room.
Failure to attend will result in your bid being declared non-responsive.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be performed shall include, but not be limited to: Cold milling, removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, concrete curb, gutter, curb ramps, driveways and sidewalk; utility protection and coordination; signing, striping, and markings; traffic signal loops and new video detection systems installation; utility facilities adjustment to grade and other items not mentioned here, but are required by the plans and the Special Provisions.
COMPLETION OF WORK AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: All work shall be completed in a total of Fifty (50) Working Days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages shall be Four Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($4,100) per calendar day, for each and every calendar day’s delay in finishing the work, in excess of the number of working days prescribed above.
