Plaza San Clemente will be the first outlet mall in Orange County, featuring nearly 600,000 square feet of multiple retail uses. It will include 350,000 square feet of outlets and complementing retail, a multiplex cinema, a mixture of dinner houses and casual dining, a hotel with conference facilities and neighborhood services. This development will be a huge boost to the economy in the South County and will create a multitude of jobs opportunities during all phases of construction.
The mall at Avenida Vista Hermosa off Interstate 5 is being developed by Newport Beach-based Craig Realty Group and is the specialty retail portion of the Marblehead Coastal development.
The development, which was a partnership between SunCal Marblehead L.L.C. and Lehman Brothers, stalled in 2008 after Lehman filed for bankruptcy. SunCal sold the retail portion of the Marblehead project to Craig Realty, while agreeing to complete infrastructures for it.
Phase 1 with over 250,000 square feet GLA, has attracted some of the big names in retail and have 36 signed leases to date with over a dozen pending and available space is limited!
The retailers include: Fossil, Zales, Tommy Hilfiger, Carter’s, Calvin Klein, Columbia Sportswear, Nike, Tilly’s , Bass, Hanes, Guess, Izod, Levi, OshKosh B’gosh, Papaya, Pearl Izumi, Puma, Sun Diego, Chicos, Planet Beauty, Daisy Shoppe, Sunglass Hut, Under Armour, Van Heusen, Vans,Skechers , Le Creuset Cookware, and Le Gourmet Cookware. Eating establishments include : Sweet Factory, Auntie Anne’s, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Haagen Dazs.
