The construction of the sister 20-Story Class-A office building to the 650 Newport Center Drive Office Tower is moving along at a fast pace. Both towers were designed by Pei Cobb Freed and Partners and LPA Inc. for The Irvine Company Office Properties, located at Newport Center in Newport Beach. The new tower located at 520 Newport Center Drive is being built by Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction.

Both buildings are expected to receive Silver Certification under the LEED 2009 Core & Shell program. These towers have a unique urban design, with sustainable strategies employed in every aspect of design and constructions.
The Construction is nearly complete for the adjacent 5 story parking structure located on 545 San Nicolas Drive.
The new tower will be the new headquarters for The Irvine Company.
This is yet another good sign that the recession is ending in the great O.C.
