The city of Irvine ranked sixth in a list of 100 cities Money Magazine dubbed the best places to live in the U.S.
The annual list, running in the magazine’s September issue, ranked cities on job growth, school quality, home affordability, safety, the arts and other measures.
Irvine did not make the ranking last year and was No. 22 in 2010. Its highest point on the list in the past six years was No. 4 in 2008.
The only other OC city to make the list was No. 42 Yorba Linda.
Three other California cities also made the cut this year: No. 27 Cupertino, No. 34 Chino Hills and No. 41 Diamond Bar.
