ARTIC® Grand Opening Celebration Set For Saturday, Dec. 13th 2014

ARTIC – the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center –will soon open its doors, signifying the future of transportation is here and now in Orange County.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 13 for a day filled with music, food, educational tours, information from the transportation providers, and more.  This family friendly event will be open to the public and all are invited to attend.

The iconic LEED-Platinum designed facility will be the first step on a journey like no other.

On opening day, ARTIC services will include  Metrolink,  Amtrak,  OCTA bus,  Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART),  Coach USA,  Greyhound, shuttles, taxis, bikes, and tour and charter buses. Amenities will include transit oriented retail, unique dining establishments, Wi-Fi and plug in stations, plenty of parking, bike racks and lockers, as well as community space for the public to enjoy. ARTIC will truly be a destination for all to use and the expanded public transportation options will benefit all commuters, residents and visitors.

The 67,000 square foot iconic transportation hub will increase mobility options for residents, local businesses, commuters and visitors to Anaheim, Orange County and the entire Southern California region.

Located in a prime location in Orange County between Honda Center and Angel Stadium of Anaheim, ARTIC’s innovative LEED-Platinum designed and operated facility and state-of-the-art amenities will increase the energy and excitement currently experienced by more than 5.5 million sports fans and concert and entertainment attendees who visit the surrounding world-class venues each year. Additionally, the Anaheim Resort, which is two miles west on Katella Ave, draws 20 million guests to Anaheim each year.

Orange County is the fifth most densely populated county in the nation, so taking cars off the road and offering public transportation benefits everyone. ARTIC, near the 57, 5, 22 and 91 freeways and adjacent to the Santa Ana River Trail, will open to accommodate 10,000 riders daily and offer 10 modes of transportation.
