sabp11.     Blue C Sushi: Set to open this July in Fashion Island. Blue C is a revolving sushi bar that uses sustainably-sourced seafood. Their proprietary tracking technology – with an RFID chip embedded in each plate – lets them monitor every item on the delivery belt, tracking how long it’s been on display and alerting the chefs when it’s time to refresh.  The company’s vice president of culinary operations is Jeffrey Lunak, a former protégé of “Iron Chef” Morimoto.

 2.     La Vida Cantina: Opening this July in Triangle Square. La Vida Cantina is an authentic Mexican restaurant and bar with a captivating atmosphere and a menu of fresh, high quality ingredients where traditional recipes are presented with a modern twist. Guests will enjoy a spacious, lively and beautifully designed patio with a large pentagon-shaped bar, ample lounge seating and five fire pits. 3.     Cucina Enoteca:  Set to open late summer in Fashion Island near Nordstroms. Cucina Enoteca, a California-inspired Italian kitchen and wine shop, evokes a modern kitchen coupled with the history and comfort of an old rustic country farmhouse. The menu features Italian classics made with the freshest local produce, and organic and sustainable ingredients.  4.     Twenty Eight: Opening this August in Irvine on Jamboree. Twenty Eight will feature modern Chinese cuisine by Top Chef Shirley Chung. Chung was a fan favorite during Season 11 of Bravo’s Top Chef cooking competition and plans to bring her modern Chinese fare to Orange County.  ]]>
