Clark Construction Group is not only on schedule, with less than 5% change orders, but the project in well within budget and is expected to open by December 2014. The 67,000-square-foot, three-story terminal building is redefining the skyline between Honda Center and Angel Stadium. The steel-framed tubular structure has curved pillow like roof panels that are inflated with air. When inflated the honeycombed material, ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) is so strong you could sit a VW Bug on top of the roof.SABP Blog 2 When you enter the building, one is awed by the 120 ft. tall curtain wall and the cutting edge design encompassing compound curves and grid patterns throughout this incredible structure. The center of the building is the grand staircase with escalators ascending to the 2nd and 3rd floor.  The Radiant heated Terraza floors are designed with nickel insert with same grid pattern repeated on each level. The ground level will have a lobby and waiting area, ticketing center, kiosks and the OCTA Bus Transit Center, tour and charter buses, taxis and a bicycle storage area for those who want to bike their way to catch the train or bus to work. The second level will have two full service restaurants, kiosks, and retail shops.  Level three or the Mezzanine will SABP Blog 3lead you to the concourse bridge that will connect you to the Amtrak and Metrolink train terminal. The Mezzanine level will be much like a traditional airport with a waiting area and Wi-Fi, and kiosks and seating just much like an airport.
