Building, Building, Building in Corona Del Mar

If the building boom in Corona Del Mar is any indication that the recession is over, then alleluia things are looking up.  The small cottages are slowly being replaced with new single family residences, but more prevalent are the two-story duplex’s and two-unit condos. If you drive or walk around the 15 streets named after flowers and trees in the village of Corona Del Mar,  you can’t help but notice all the new construction on every Avenue.   The properties are all uniquely designed, some have a  very modern style, others  have the traditional cape cod  charm and then of course there is the  California Spanish style.  The properties are being built by individual homeowners, developers and local builders as Speculation homes. Perhaps these statistics below are the reason why!

Average listing price for homes in Corona Del Mar was $3,337,268 for the week ending May 29, which represents an increase of 1.8%, or $60,011 compared to the prior week and an increase of 4.6%, or $145,977, compared to the week ending May 08.
